NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS’
AI-Centric ICT Platform®
Supporting Corporate Management in the Age of AI
Providing Distributed, Adaptable, Secure, Cost-efficient Solutions
AI infrastructure that promotes the use of AI by various companies and contributes to enhancing competitiveness and regional revitalization
In recent years, the rapid advancement of AI has led to its accelerating adoption in business and society. This has led to the emergence of new needs that are difficult to address with existing ICT infrastructure. NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS aims to contribute to the sustainable enhancement of corporate competitiveness and the development of society by deploying its AI-Centric ICT Platform®, a new infrastructure for the AI era (AI infrastructure).
-
POINT01
“Distributed”
Allocating the optimal resources to meet our customers’ AI needsSolves issues like these!- Excessive heat generation in AI-enabled servers (GPUs) and the limitations of cooling methods for the latest GPUs
- Power and space constraints leading to difficulties in utilizing AI-ready data centers in urban areas or near company facilities
-
POINT02
“Adaptable”
Communication bandwidth and various features can be added or modified on demandSolves issues like these!- Difficulties in designing optimal networks and estimating traffic volume due to AI’s capacity for autonomous communication (often requiring sudden, high-volume data transfers)
- Cumbersome procedures for requesting bandwidth changes and modifying settings
-
POINT03
“Secure”
State-of-the-art security features built into the networkSolves issues like these!- Increased security risks from external communications due to AI’s integration with various systems
- Difficulties in implementing security measures against cybersecurity threats (such as ransomware)
-
POINT04
“Cost-efficient”
Subscription-based pay-as-you-go billingSolves issues like these!- Increased costs due to the need to secure sufficient bandwidth in advance to accommodate the anticipated autonomous AI communications
- Increased costs due to the need for system integration (SI) when changing network device settings
Features of the AI-Centric ICT Platform®
On-demand bandwidth adjustment, a network that supports per-minute billing, advanced security measures, and more
AI infrastructure that meets the needs of the AI era
・A platform optimized for AI, centered on Network as a Service (NaaS) and managed services equipped with cutting-edge network technology and security features
・Providing GPU infrastructure nationwide through container-based data centers and other solutions that utilize companies’ underutilized land
- * NaaS: An abbreviation for “Network as a Service,” which provides networks and associated security features like a cloud service, allowing users to access them on a subscription basis.
-
1Distributed: GPU resources can be deployed nationwide, including in container-based data centers (private AI data centers)
- To address the issues of power supply and space shortages in urban areas, we provide container-based data centers that can be installed on companies’ underutilized land or in rural areas. Furthermore, by combining large-scale liquid-cooled data centers designed for high-heat-generating GPU servers with GPUaaS and third-party cloud services, we distribute resources optimally to meet our customers’ AI needs. We can also provide high-capacity, low-latency network connections to link these facilities.
-
2Adaptable: Easy bandwidth changes / Per-minute billing (cost-efficient)
- The platform’s cutting-edge NaaS allows customers to build network environments with unprecedented flexibility. Just using the portal, customers can adjust bandwidth and other settings freely and quickly by themselves. With per-minute billing, you can use the service affordably, paying only for what you need, when you need it.
-
3Secure: Equipped with WAN security features (Patented)
- The platform features security capabilities that detect unauthorized communications within the network, even for cameras and IoT devices where security software such as EDR cannot be installed. (Patented)
-
4Managed Services: AI Ops / Fin Ops
- The platform enables AI-driven operational automation, as well as optimization of resources and costs, across customers’ entire ICT infrastructure.
- * AI Ops: An approach that leverages AI and machine learning technologies to automate and optimize IT infrastructure operations.
- * Fin Ops: An operational approach that focuses on spending across the entire IT infrastructure, including cloud and on-premises environments, to continuously achieve the optimal balance between performance and cost.
- The platform enables AI-driven operational automation, as well as optimization of resources and costs, across customers’ entire ICT infrastructure.
