NTT Communications to Make “0033” International Service Accessible from Mobile Phones

NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) today announced that it would make its “0033” international telephone service accessible from mobile phones of IDO Corporation, DDI-CELLULAR group, J-Phone group and TU-KA group effective from February 14, 2000.

This will make the “0033” international telephone service accessible from all mobile phones, including those of NTT DoCoMo. Contracts with NTT Com are required in order to access the service.

“0033” international calls can be made on phones of the following companies:

• Charges
1) Normal charges
The charge for a three-minute international call during the day on weekdays is much cheaper compared to other telecom carriers. For details, please see Attachment 1. Sample rates include 340 yen to the United States, 520 yen to China, 460 yen to Korea, and 580 yen to the Philippines.

2) Discount charges
To provide reasonable rates, NTT Com has come up with two-types of discount services, one for corporate users “Corporate Discount *1” and the other for individual users “Home Discount *2.” There is no registration fee or monthly basic charge, but registration is required.

• How to dial
Dialing overseas with the “0033” international prefix via a mobile phone is the same as dialing from a regular telephone.

Discount rates increase gradually to as high as 15% according to the monthly international telephone charges for the lines applied.

Over 300,000 yen	15%

Late night/early morning discount hours have been extended.
Further, telephone charges will be discounted by 5% during daytime and evening, and by 10% during late night/early morning hours when monthly international charges exceed 1,500 yen.
