Service Disruption (May 31, 2004)

To Our Valued Customers:

On May 31, 2004, our Otemachi power source facility developed a problem that rendered several communications services inoperable. Services that were affected included data communications for business users, IP telephone service, OCN service, and HOTSPOT (please see the full list of affected services below). We sincerely apologize for any inconvenience that this incident has caused.

We are presently making our best effort to identify the source of the problem. We are also in the process of checking all of our facilities nationwide, and plan to implement procedures in order to prevent similar incidents from occurring in the future.
