Cognitive Foundation® (CF) is a concept for centrally optimizing the deployment, configuration, and operation of ICT resources—including users' own ICT environments—together with cloud and network services. It provides an integrated approach that covers the entire lifecycle of ICT systems, from build and configuration to management and operations. To realize this concept, NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS is advancing the following initiatives.
The Multi-Orchestrator (MO) is a set of functions designed to optimize the deployment and configuration of ICT resources while enabling automation and autonomous operation.
MO addresses one of the key challenges in modern ICT environments: managing diverse and distributed resources in a unified and efficient way.
MO consists of three major functional groups:
Orchestration functions – workflow engines and command translation tailored to different ICT resources
Management functions – monitoring, configuration management, and operational control
Intelligent functions – capabilities such as machine learning and statistical analysis
Rather than being a single software system, MO allows these functions to be combined flexibly, enabling its use across a wide range of ICT environments.
Previously, running applications and solutions required complex optimization work to deploy and configure ICT resources. With MO, these resources can be centrally managed without the need for extensive manual deployment work.
As part of the MO intelligent function group, NTT DOCOMO BUSINESS is working with NTT Laboratories to enhance services based on Cradio®, a multi-radio proactive control technology (JP) researched and developed by NTT Lab.
Cradio® enables proactive optimization of wireless environments through advanced simulation and control technologies.
This technology optimizes wireless environment surveys, design, and operation and maintenance.
With Cradio®, it becomes possible to simulate in advance the design of wireless access points and the impact of layout changes in offices or factories on wireless quality—tasks that previously relied on expert knowledge and experience.
This technology reflects the NTT Group’s deep expertise in wireless communications.
