NTT Com to Add NGN Options to Corporate VPN Services

TOKYO, JAPAN - NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) announced today that its domestic corporate virtual private network (VPN) services—Arcstar™ IP-VPN, Group-VPN, Dual Active VPN and OCN Business Pack VPN—will offer compatibility with FLET’S Hikari Next, the super-high-speed, packet-based next-generation network (NGN) service of sister companies NTT East and NTT West, beginning December 19.

The FLET’S Hikari Next-compatible services to be launched initially will be the Internet Protocol Security (IPSec) version of Arcstar IP-VPN, a high-reliability/high-quality corporate VPN service, and OCN Business Pack VPN, a low-cost corporate Internet VPN service.

Thereafter, Group-VPN, a corporate broadband VPN service; the VPN Gate Type (provisional name) version of Arcstar IP-VPN; and Dual Active VPN, a dual-network VPN service, will be rolled out sometime in fiscal 2008, which ends March 31, 2009.

NGN access for NTT Com’s corporate VPN services will be available wherever NTT East or NTT West offers FLET’S Hikari Next.
