1 Gbps Best-Effort Internet Access Service for Corporate OCN

TOKYO, JAPAN - NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) announced today that Internet access utilizing the super-high-speed next-generation networks (NGN) of sister companies NTT East and West will be available to corporate customers of NTT Com's OCN Internet services in Japan beginning October 2.

The new offering, named "OCN Hikari Access FLET'S Hikari Next Plan Business Type," enables OCN corporate customers to utilize "FLET'S Hikari Next Business Type," which is a new 1 Gbps best-effort optical-fiber access service offered by NTT East and West. Access will be available to OCN customers wherever NTT East or West offers the service.

The service is ideal for corporate customers operating web servers, virtual private networks and other systems that require high-speed, high-quality Internet access.
