New VoIP Service Enables Flexible Handling of Business Calls

TOKYO, JAPAN - NTT Com launched today a service that allows businesses in Japan to use static VoIP phone numbers to receive calls and then forward them automatically to fixed or mobile phone numbers of any carrier.

Corporate offices and small to midsized call centers can use the "050 Business Dial" service to handle incoming calls flexibly and efficiently. A business can, for example, route calls to an office phone during business hours and a mobile phone after hours or when no one is in the office to answer calls. At all times, however, callers dial the same 050-prefix VoIP phone number.

Calls can also be routed to other lines within a company, which enables a main phone number to handle more than one incoming call at a time, a particularly useful feature for smaller firms that don’t have a private branch exchange.

Selection of forwarding phone number(s) and other settings are easily configured by the customer at anytime via a dedicated website.

Calling charges start at just 8.4 yen per three minutes (including tax) for calls received from anywhere nationwide. A one-time installation fee of 1,050 yen (including tax) is charged per line and the basic monthly fee is 1050 yen (including tax) per line.

050 Business Dial options include subscription to multiple VoIP phone numbers and automatic routing of calls according to fixed daily and/or weekly schedules.
