NTT Com Tests HOTSPOT Roaming in China

TOKYO, JAPAN - NTT Communications (NTT Com) announced today the company will conduct a trial run of their HOTSPOT wireless LAN roaming service in China during the month of August, in time for NTT Com customers visiting China for the Olympic Games this summer.

The trial will cover 900 China Mobile access points in Beijing, Shanghai, Tianjin, Shenyang/Liaoning, Qingdao/Shandong, and Qinhuangdao/Hebei, including points at three major airports.

Users will merely need their HOTSPOT ID and password to gain access. Subscriptions to HOTSPOT, OPEN Plan or OPEN Plan Light, and also the International Roaming (China Mobile) service, are required.
