NTT Com to Launch Service Package for Application Providers

TOKYO, JAPAN - NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) announced today that on July 29 it will begin offering a business service package specialized for Software as a Service (SaaS) providers and application service providers (ASPs) operating in Japan. The package is the first to be offered under the BizCITY brand, NTT Com's new suite of services for businesses requiring a secure and convenient connectivity environment anytime, anywhere.

BizCITY was launched to meet growing demand from corporate customers who need secure yet simple access to their business applications from different locations. More service products are planned for the BizCITY brand, aimed at customers using their business applications via PCs, mobile phones, smartphones and PHS mobile phones - whether they work in remote offices, home offices or while on international business trips.

The new service, named BizCITY for SaaS Providers, will enable application service providers to have direct access to NTT Com's virtual private network services (e-VLAN, Arcstar IP-VPN, Group-VPN) without going through the Internet, ensuring a more stable communication environment. The package also includes an optional hosting service for application servers, which reduces costs to the customer on server construction and operation.

For greater convenience, NTT Com plans to ramp up more services to BizCITY for SaaS Providers, such as multi-element verification, single sign-on and fee collection.
