NTT Com Completes Report No. 18 Audit for Data Center Services

TOKYO, JAPAN - NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) announced today that it successfully completed an examination of the internal controls and operations of its data center services for outsourcing and received an Audit Standards Committee Report No. 18 on the Assessment of Effectiveness of Internal Control on Trust Activities from the Japanese Institute of Certified Public Accountants on March 31.

The examination was performed by Ernst & Young ShinNihon LLC between June 1, 2007 and November 30, 2007.

Customers using NTT Com’s collocation services in five data centers in Greater Tokyo (Chiyoda, Chuo, Koto, Yokohama and Saitama) can refer to the report to assess how well NTT Com’s internal controls comply with standards specified in the Japanese version of the Sarbanes-Oxley Act, or J-SOX. NTT Com began today to accept requests to obtain the report from customers using NTT Com’s data center collocation services in Greater Tokyo.

NTT Com believes it is the first Japanese data center service provider to announce its successful completion of a Report No. 18 audit.

The company now plans to apply for a Report No. 18 for data center services in the April - December 2008 period.
