NTT Com and T-Mobile HotSpot Launch WLAN Roaming
in Lufthansa Lounges in 8 Countries

TOKYO, JAPAN - NTT Communications (NTT Com) announced today an agreement with T-Mobile HotSpot GmbH, the wireless LAN service arm of the European telecom and Internet service provider T-Mobile, which enables NTT Com customers flying on Lufthansa to use wireless broadband access points for international roaming in Lufthansa lounges at 24 airports of eight countries, beginning today.

Subscribers to NTT Com's Hotspot wireless service in Japan can use their regular username and password for Wi-Fi access at Lufthansa airport lounges in Germany, France, Greece, Italy, U.K., India, UAE and USA, adding to the existing Wi-Fi roaming network provided by 7 T-Mobile group companies, T-Mobile Germany, T-Com, T-Mobile UK, T-Mobile Austria, T-Mobile the Netherlands, T-Mobile Czech Republic, and T-Mobile USA.

The roaming service does not require an additional subscription or startup fee, and costs just 240 yen per 10 minutes (tax free). Users must be subscribers to an NTT Com WLAN service (Hotspot, OPEN Plan or OPEN Plan Light).

NTT Com also has international roaming arrangements with KT (South Korea), Maxis (Malaysia), StarHub (Singapore), British Telecom (UK), Telecom Italia (Italy), VSNL Tata Indicom Wi-Fi (India) and the T-Mobile Group (USA, Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, Netherlands and UK). The companies are all members of the Wireless Broadband Alliance (WBA), an industry alliance encompassing world-class telecom operators, equipment makers and service providers in Asia-Pacific, the Americas and Europe.
