NTT Com to Enhance Global Datacenter Business

TOKYO, JAPAN - NTT Communications (NTT Com) announced today that to further enhance its global datacenter business, it will consolidate its related business functions under NTT Worldwide Telecommunications Corporation (NTT WT) established in 1997, a Tokyo-based wholly owned subsidiary that will open overseas branches in New York, London and Singapore in December, and will invest an additional 4 billion yen.

The company expects to benefit from ever growing demands from multinational customers for a stable server operational environment, business-continuity plans to overcome disasters, and setting up hub locations when expanding their business overseas. Similar to network services, NTT WT also sees opportunities to satisfy strong needs for standardization of service quality and operation worldwide in order to conduct customers' business efficiently.

NTT WT will work closely with NTT Com Group's overseas affiliates and deliver high quality data center services to multinational enterprise customers by consolidation of procurement, quality-management, and standardization of services and processes.
