
NTT Com and Willcom Inc. announced today the launch of a new point-of-purchase (POP) solution, W-ZERO3 for Spot Media, for on-site product promotion at a range of retail establishments. The new solution, marketing of which begins April 12, will provide video content for Willcom's W-ZERO3 smart-phone device via remote Internet access. Shops can deploy the W-ZERO3 near product shelves, using online promotional videos to assist consumers with their decision making.
NTT Com and Willcom take responsibility for remotely updating video content, replacing conventional promotional DVDs and videotape recordings, relieving users of the need to manually update software. Subscriptions are based on a minimum purchase quantity of 100 W-ZERO3 devices, which will be provided on an annual contract basis.
