NTT Com to Launch International IP-VPN Service in UAE

TOKYO, JAPAN - NTT Communications (NTT Com) announced today that Etisalat, the largest telecommunications service provider in the United Arab Emirates (UAE), and NTT Com have agreed to provide Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS)-based Global IP-VPN services starting June 2007. The two companies will cooperate to establish an MPLS node in Dubai, UAE as an integral part of introducing NTT Com's Arcstar Global IP-VPN service.

NTT Com will be the first Japanese company to offer MPLS-based IP-VPN service in the Middle East and the service will strengthen NTT Com's capabilities in providing global one-stop ICT solutions to customers expanding their businesses globally. NTT Communications Dubai Representative Office, which was established in Dubai Internet City last December, will support customers in the region.
