NTT Demonstrates Retransmission of Digital Terrestrial Television over IP in NGN Field Trial
NTT Holdings, NTT Com and I-Cast announced today they have started demonstrating the feasibility of Retransmission of Digital Terrestrial Television (DTT) over IP using H.264/AVC technology in the next-generation network (NGN) field trial showroom in Tokyo.
The Retransmission of DTT over IP trial is being conducted under a Ministry of Internal Affairs and Communications program, concerning research on the effective utilization of DTT broadcasting in the public sector. NTT Com is conducting the demonstrations with the support of broadcasting service provider I-Cast.
The demonstration is located in the "NOTE" showroom on the 1st floor of the West Tower of Otemachi First Square (1-5-1 Otemachi, Chiyoda-ku, Tokyo).
