Leading Internet Firms Set up Info Security Association

An information security association was established today by NTT Com and other leading Internet-related companies IIJ, NEC BIGLOBE, SOFTBANK BB, Trend Micro, NIFTY, and Microsoft, aimed at enhancing awareness of the importance of information security.

The association is inviting all concerned companies to share their ideas by contacting the organization at www.netanzen.jp by February 20.

Among other activities, the association will organize annual initiatives centered on  February 2, which the government designated as Information Security Day.

The association’s kickoff program will be a symposium about information security at the Grand Hyatt Tokyo hotel on February 6.
