NTT Com Ties Up with T-Mobile Group to Offer Wireless LAN Roaming in Europe
NTT Com has tied up with the T-Mobile Group to enable NTT Com customers to use wireless LAN access points for wireless broadband roaming in Austria, Czech Republic, Germany, the Netherlands and the UK beginning December 9, 2006. Subscribers to NTT Com’s HOTSPOT™, Open Plan or Open Plan Light wireless services in Japan will be able to log in with their existing ID and password. The cost to roam in these locations will be 240 yen per 10 minutes (tax exemption).
The following six partner carriers will provide the access points:
- T-Mobile UK: 1,115 locations
- T-Mobile Germany: 1,360 locations
- T-Com (Germany): 6,926 locations
- T-Mobile Netherlands: 768 locations
- T-Mobile Austria: 181 locations
- T-Mobile Czech Republic: 117 locations
