NTT Com to Establish Representative Office in Dubai

TOKYO, JAPAN - NTT Communications (NTT Com) announced today that it intends to open the NTT Communications Dubai Representative Office in Dubai Internet City (DIC), Dubai, United Arab Emirates by mid-December this year.

The new office will strengthen NTT Com’s support for the growing number of locally based Japanese and other multinational corporate customers requiring one-stop domestic and global communications services. NTT Com plans to offer a strong lineup of services such as IP-VPN and system integration by working closely with local carriers and system vendors.

Dubai has emerged as a leading Middle Eastern commercial hub offering state-of-art infrastructure, a world-class business environment and preferential treatment for foreign investment. Attractive to Japanese and other multinationals, especially in the trade and financial fields, it has become a highly advantageous base for business in the Middle East.

NTT Com has received provisional approval to set up a representative office in DIC, one of the free trade zones created by the government of Dubai, who provides various incentives to foreign ICT companies.

The office will be headed by (Mr.) Hiroyuki Hosoi, currently Director of the Global Business Division. The office will start operations as soon as the final trade license has been granted by DIC and the other remaining administrative procedures have been completed.
