TOKYO, JAPAN - NTT Communications (NTT Com) and Intelligent Wave Inc. announced today that a packaged security service to help enterprises prevent leaks of internal information will be made available in 16 countries from November 1, 2006.

The service combines Intelligent Wave’s CWAT system and NTT Com’s security systems for international networks and data centers. The CWAT system monitors and controls the client’s entire network to prevent internal information leaks, while NTT Com’s security system provides intrusion detection/prevention, server hosting and firewalls.

The service will help to ensure compliance with internal security policies by monitoring customers’ networks and their employees’ PCs, and by generating event logs. Customers will not need to maintain costly servers or related facilities to use the service. They will only have to set their security policies and provide security criteria for the PCs in their networks. Service startup will be possible with just a few clicks on a computer.

The service will be available in Australia, Belgium, China, France, Germany, Hong Kong, India, Malaysia, the Netherlands, Singapore, South Korea, Taiwan, Thailand, Vietnam, the United Kingdom and the United States. NTT Com launched the service in China in March, and based on its success in stemming clients’ growing problems with information leaks, it was decided to extend the service to 15 more countries.

NTT Com and Intelligent Wave will jointly conduct marketing, promotions and employee training, as well as share user information and technical know-how.

The companies will present the service concept at NTT Communications Forum 2006 on October 26- 27 at the Imperial Hotel Tokyo, as well as on November 1 at the Imperial Hotel Osaka.
