NTT Com’s OCN Photo Friend Users Can Post Photos on NTT Resonant’s goo Portal
Users of NTT Com’s photo-sharing service OCN Photo Friend can now post photos on the "goo" portal of subsidiary NTT Resonant. Users who wish to have their photos posted on news sites must first upload them via OCN Photo Friend, after which they can apply to have their photos considered by goo editors for inclusion on the sites.
Users can also automatically upload photos to the portal’s "goo-lab" local topics site, which gives tourist information about Japan. Users must upload their photos via OCN Photo Friend and then assign the photos a keyword, of the city where the photo was taken, for example. goo-lab will then use the keyword to upload the photo to the appropriate section of the site.
NTT Com and NTT Resonant hope that their combined expertise will encourage more consumer-generated media.
