NTT Com Named Best Asian Telecom Carrier at the Telecom Asia Awards 2005


TOKYO, JAPAN – NTT Communications (NTT Com) received the top prize of Best Asian Telecom Carrier at the Telecom Asia Awards 2005 in Bali, Indonesia on May 16. The company also received Best Asian Managed Service Award.

The awards are determined by 12 independent judges referring to industry reports provided by top telecom research firms such as the Yankee group. The judging criteria include financial status, market leadership, ability to leverage new technology, and corporate governance.

NTT Com took the highly sought Best Asian Telecom Carrier award, by scoring the highest average for all categories. "The judges recognized NTT Com’s very strong financial performance, its good service reputation and its leading edge use of technologies," said Robert Ferguson, Telecom Asia Group Publisher.

"I believe the awards recognize NTT Communications’ strong leadership in the region.
