NTT Com's Teleconference Service to Provide
English and Chinese Guidance

TOKYO, JAPAN – NTT Communications (NTT Com) announced today that it will add English and Chinese language voice guidance to its next-generation audio conference service, ClearConference, to make international teleconferences easier. The change will become effective on April 22.

ClearConference began in January 2002 and now has approximately 500 corporate customers. Customers can participate in teleconference by simply dialing an access point or waiting for a call from the facilitator. Participation is possible with mobile phones, PCs, international toll-free access (37 locations) and fixed phones.

Besides voice guidance, written instructions, such as those for file sharing and instructions for the facilitator to authorize participation, will now appear on PC screens in Chinese (both simplified and traditional) in addition to currently available Japanese and English instructions.

ClearConference subscribers will also be able to share Adobe® PDF files, in addition to currently supported Microsoft® Word, Excel and PowerPoint files. PDF files are especially useful for sharing images and computer-aided-design (CAD) data during teleconferences.

In the near future, NTT Com also plans to offer domestic and international toll-free dialing with its new English and Chinese guidance.
