NTT Com and UEFA to Launch Premium Japanese Version
of uefa2004.com for UEFA EURO 2004 TM

TOKYO, JAPAN - NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) announced that together with the Union of European Football Associations (UEFA) it will launch a new UEFA EURO 2004TM Premium Site-jppremium.euro2004.com-a fee-based Japanese version of the UEFA EURO 2004TM official website (www.euro2004.com). The site, available for viewing on a membership basis, will be operated from June 9 to December 15.
Users will be able to access up to 2 Mb of high-quality streaming content at low cost, including all video contents of UEFA EURO 2004 TM, which will take place from June 12 to July 4.
NTT Com expects the new premium site to enjoy strong popularity as a result of the Japanese market's increasing interest in European football.
Three fixed-fee packages will be offered (see below). No start-up fee will be required and customers of NTT Com's OCN ISP service can receive a discount if they pay the monthly membership fee via their OCN bill using the OCN Pay On service (see below).

NTT Com is already leveraging its content-distribution expertise to operate UEFA's official global website (www.uefa.com), a major European football portal attracting up to seven million page views per day. NTT Com and UEFA also jointly operate other sites that enable Japanese users to obtain the latest information about European football in general. This includes free (jp.uefa.com) and fee-based, premium (jppremium.euro2004.com) versions of the UEFA official website, the latter based on content developed in Japan. In addition, NTT Com launched an official UEFA site for i-mode mobile-Internet services (i-mode.uefa.com) in April.
NTT Com has introduced a Japanese version of the UEFA online shopping site selling UEFA Champions League goods and other UEFA items since May, 2004. The site, which is currently operating with a limited variety of goods, is another example of NTT Com's total-web-solutions service business and is expected to start full-scale service this summer.
