NTT Com to Expand IP-VPN Services into Indonesia and Brazil

TOKYO, JAPAN—NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) announced today that it will expand its Arcstar Global IP-VPN services into Indonesia and Brazil by setting up native VPN nodes in both countries. Expected service launch date is November 28 in Brazil and December 25 in Indonesia.

Until now, users in Indonesia and Brazil have had to connect with the service via either an international frame relay or IPSec link. With the change, however, native VPN nodes will enable connection via access line services widely available in both markets, meaning users will benefit from greater convenience and lower costs.

The startup in Indonesia will give the Arcstar Global IP-VPN service 11 countries and regions in Asia-Pacific, the widest coverage of any such service in the region. Worldwide, the service is offered in 124 countries (including IPSec access), making this one of the most widely available IP-VPN services on the planet.

NTT Com's Arcstar Global IP-VPN offers world-class security, speed and quality based on Multi Protocol Label Switching (MPLS) technology. Value-added features such as traffic control and network status reports are possible with the service.
