NTT Com Establishes Subsidiary in Guangzhou


TOKYO, JAPAN—NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) announced today that it established a new affiliate in Guangzhou, China to provide system integration services in southern China this May. NTT Com Asia Network Systems (Guangzhou) Company Limited is a wholly-owned subsidiary of Hong Kong-based NTT Com Asia Limited. NTT Com Asia is a wholly-owned subsidiary of NTT Hong Kong, a 100% subsidiary of NTT Com.

The firm will help meet foreign-owned offices and factories’ growing needs for network services and total solutions, such as LAN and IP network construction and teleconferencing systems. It also offers technical consulting, facility maintenance and training in how to make maximum use of NTT Com services. To better meet the needs of locally operating multinationals, NTT Com Asia Network Systems (Guangzhou) provides services in Japanese, Mandarin, Cantonese and English, and also accepts payments in Yuan.

NTT Com Asia Network Systems (Guangzhou) is headed by President Kenji Sakata and has a staff of six.

NTT Com now has four subsidiaries in China. Two of these firms, joint ventures in Shanghai and Beijing, provide global communications services such as IP-VPN and system integration. NTT Com Asia offers global IP-VPN and IP backbone services, as well as system integration. In 2002, it became the first foreign carrier in China to be licensed for leased-circuit services directly connecting Hong Kong and mainland China. HKNet, another wholly-owned subsidiary of NTT Hong Kong, provides ISP, data center, security and system integration services both for corporations and individuals.
