| TOKYO, JAPAN—NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) announced today that it will launch the Global Broadband VPN Package Service in conjunction with two of its services—the Arcstar Global IP-VPN and Arcstar Global e-VLAN Package—from November 8. Available in 87 countries*, the new global VPN (virtual private network) package, one of the largest of its type, will combine the services of either network with application traffic management and international Arcstar Data Center services. The result is the world's first service to provide one-stop contract, ordering, billing and maintenance in a global package that offers network, data center, IP access and application traffic management. The new extensive service package is expected to meet the needs of global companies that outsource construction and operation of their intranet, Internet and servers. Features Arcstar Global IP-VPN and Arcstar Global e-VLAN Package services enable users to construct global multi-point LAN systems or private broadband networks, offering data transmission rates of over 10 Mbps for high-quality, seamless communication. These VPN services can handle various protocols, including IP, for network flexibility. The new package provides each VPN with application traffic management services, including bandwidth and traffic control, real-time performance monitoring, analysis and consultation. Users can simply connect their current networks to the NTT Com VPN service of choice to realize a more cost-efficient global network construction compared to existing leased-circuits. Network and data center operation and management fees can also be reduced. NTT Com provides a global end-to-end support system, offering complete operation and management of overseas networks, customer-premise rental equipment and a data center, as well as 24-7 monitoring and troubleshooting.
