NTT Communications to Establish
Global Professional Services Department


NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) today announced the establishment of a special Department providing a unified service ranging from consulting to outsourcing of system implementation and operation. NTT Com's new Global Professional Services (GPS) Department will furnish the best solutions for multinational corporations that are in need of transforming their operations in order to keep pace with the IT revolution.

Tatsuo Kawasaki, former Vice President of NTT Com's Corporate Planning Department, has been appointed to head up the GPS Department effective as of today. The creation of the Department will alter NTT Com's corporate organization, as shown in the Attachment.

The company will initially provide consultation on the introduction and implementation of managed services, which incorporate NTT Com's global networks and server hosting. Subsequently, the firm plans to expand its consulting services to include platform implementation, to greatly improve user SCM*1 and CRM*2, as well as business transformation, to create changes in corporate management.

The introduction of this new service illustrates NTT Com's commitment to working with its customers to create the best possible business solutions. What is more, NTT Communications plans to collaborate broadly with other firms so that its customers may benefit from the most cutting-edge technology.

*1 Supply chain management (SCM): Management of the entire process of material and resources procurement, production, material flow, and marketing using information technology. Targets not only intra-corporate operations, but also inter-corporate processes.
