NTT Communications Corporation (NTT Com) today announced a plan to provide an enhanced data network service for globally seamless communications with end-to-end monitoring and maintenance.

Specifically, NTT Com will introduce the Arcstar Value-Added Global Data Network Service, which will improve the existing functions of globally-managed communications services now offered by NTT Worldwide Telecommunications Corporation(NTTWT). The upgraded services will provide domestic and international seamless communications and more. Customers of NTTWT's existing global managed services will be shifted to the new Arcstar Value-Added Global Data Network Service.

The new service, combined with existing Arcstar Global IP-VPN and Data Center services, will allow NTT Com to meet diversifying corporate needs for global network construction and outsourcing of domestic and international network solutions that are completely seamless.

	Service Features
	1.	Added value, high quality, and high security The service offers wide-ranging value-added functions, including traffic reporting, speed selection for upstream and downstream communications, rental routers and one-stop ordering, billing and maintenance for domestic and overseas offices. Network security will be guaranteed by a multiplexed backbone and network construction with consideration given to redundancy. Moreover, a service level agreement (SLA) will guarantee the quality of network performance.
	2.	Domestic and international seamless communications High-quality global seamless communications will be possible utilizing NTT Com's service provision and operation know-how. Users will be able to select from NTT Com's domestic services, such as Super Relay FR and Super Relay CR, for their domestic access network.
	3.	Reasonable costs The value-added high-quality service will be provided at reasonable cost, along with various discount schemes. Network operation and management costs can be reduced even further via combined use of NTT Com's outsourcing services, such as for data centers.
	4.	Full outsourcing support By collaborating with its Arcstar Partners, NTT Com will operate and manage both domestic and international networks on a unified basis, thus enabling end-to-end global support. All-year, round-the-clock monitoring and maintenance ensure that any possible outages will be handled promptly.
	5.	Optimal, speedy network construction With the end-to-end service, NTT Com can promptly and flexibly improve and expand networks, as well as increase or decrease network speeds.

On April 16, NTT Com applied to the Minister of Public Management, Home Affairs, Posts and Telecommunications to begin the services from April.
