NTT Communications (NTT Com) on November 18 announced its non-consolidated financial results based on Japanese accounting principles for the fiscal half-year that ended on September 30.
Operating revenue was down 9.7% to ¥575.7 billion (US$4.72 billion), operating income was up 98.0% to ¥74.8 billion (US$613 million) and recurring profit was up 90.8% to ¥72.9 billion (US$597 million).
The ratio of revenue from data and IP services versus that from voice services rose from 90% to 110%.
Major developments during the year included more ISP services and a 10% rise in OCN-brand ISP subscribers to 3.29 million. In addition, IP-VPN and e-VLAN services were enhanced and a variety of solution services were developed.
NTT Com continued moving forward with its goal of becoming, within the business year ending March 2003, a true "Global IP Company" offering packaged integrated services underpinned by high security and leading quality. |
