NTT America hosted the Executive MPLS Workshop at the Copley Marriott in Boston, Massachusetts on November 5. The half-day event informed guest executives about opportunities with MPLS-based IP-VPN and answered their questions regarding enterprise planning and implementation.
MPLS IP-VPN offers numerous advantages to corporations that seek optimal network environments for their changing infrastructure and bandwidth needs. For example, the conference addressed decisions about network migration and the convergence of voice, data and video over a single network.
Dozens of IT executives from top companies in New England attended the workshop. Featured speakers were Bob Nerz, principal consultant of Network Technology Consulting; Fang Wu, director of customer solutions, NTT America, Inc.; and Tetsuro Mikami, vice president of the Global Service Business Division, NTT Communications, accompanied by engineers Yasu Shiraishi and Daisuke Endo. David Ryan, executive vice president and chief operating officer of NTT America, chaired the workshop.
"It is important that our existing customers validate the story we tell potential customers," said Nick Murphy, an account manager at NTT America, speaking in reference to those in attendance. "Presentations by Mr. Mikami and his team helped to emphasize that we collaborate closely with our colleagues in Tokyo as a locally-based but globally-connected team to support our local customers."
