Juniper Networks to Support Global Networks

NTT Communications (NTT Com) and U.S.-based Juniper Networks, Inc. signed an agreement for the creation of high-performance global IP networks on May 22, 2002.

Under the agreement, Juniper will supply IP infrastructure services to support NTT Com's construction of high-quality IP networks that offer scalability and cost-effectiveness.

The partnership is the most recent of many examples of how NTT Com is developing as a "Global IP Company" providing high-quality service infrastructure for multinational customers. Another example is the creation of the NTT/VERIO Global IP Network in the U.S., European and Asian markets.

Juniper will guarantee the quality of its network equipment, such as routers, as well as thoroughly pre-examine shipments to ensure compliance with NTT Com's stringent criteria. It will also station engineers in Japan to ensure prompt action in the event of technical problems.

In addition, Juniper will support NTT Com's global procurement activities, supply network equipment to the entire NTT Com group and assist NTT Com in the introduction of new global IP services.
