Service outline A special 0570-0XXXXX number, which is handled differently from normal phone numbers, lets you handle incoming calls more efficiently. Navi Dial allows multiple locations around the country to all share a single number, and at the same time offers many intelligent features. For example, if one line is busy, the call can automatically be routed to another location with a free line. The subscriber (call recipient) can designate a target region from which calls can be made. Another aspect of this service is that the calling party pays. Before the call is connected, the caller will be notified of the fact that it is a toll call. Charging begins only once the recipient answers the call. In response to customer requests that multiple service numbers be usable with a single dial-in number group, NTT Communications allowed additional dial-in numbers to use Navi Dial from March 2000. When NTT East or NTT WestÅfs dial-in services are used, each dial-in number can call a Navi Dial number, which is shared by the lines represented by the dial-in number. This will be a boon for call centers, which will be able to assign different Navi Dial numbers for each type of incoming call. Line-sharing will open up new ways of using Navi Dial. The range of available Navi Dial numbers is also being extended from 0570-000001 to 0570-099999.
