NTT Com Enhances "Biz Hosting Enterprise" Cloud Services

TOKYO, JAPAN - NTT Communications (NTT Com) announced today that its Biz Hosting Enterprise cloud-based hosting service now offers hybrid cloud environments, one-stop seamless management of global networks and optional ICT resources.

The new additions will enable companies to leverage cloud computing to quickly and flexibly realize tailored ICT platform optimization, total cost reduction through versatile system extensibility and strengthened business readiness.

Hybrid cloud environments enable users to combine the public and private clouds with on-premises servers to ensure the most suitable environments for specific applications and other business requirements, leading to optimized system in terms of function and cost.

Cloud service management offers seamless, end-to-end quality control by combining NTT Com’s global network, customers’ on-premises servers and network equipments and private- and public-cloud environments. NTT Com’s highly experienced engineers back up the service with one-stop support. Biz Hosting Enterprise comes with a service availability of more than 99.99%, among the highest level in the industry.

System design can be tailored to specific needs with the help of dedicated engineers. Optimization of the customer’s total system is confirmed through trials that verify application operability prior to actual system launch.

Biz Hosting Enterprise is suitable for a wide range of services, including software as a service (SaaS), platform as a service (PaaS) and infrastructure as a service (IaaS). The hypervisor lineup includes the Oracle VM server virtualization platform from Oracle Corporation, in addition to Microsoft® Hyper-V™ and VMware, providing customers with the flexibility to select the most appropriate virtualization platform for specific business applications.

ICT resources are offered on a monthly subscription and are available as early as the day following subscription.

The service supports IPv6 for enhanced connectivity, enabling users to use unique IP addresses to construct safe, flexible private-cloud environments worldwide.

For a standard system, the startup fee is 1,270,000 yen and the monthly charge is 630,000 yen.

New Biz Hosting Enterprise will be demonstrated during the NTT Communications Forum 2010 at the Imperial Hotel in Tokyo on October 28 and 29, and also during Cloud Computing Expo Japan at Makuhari Messe, Chiba Prefecture between October 10 and 12.
