Shopping Service from OCN Provides Loyalty Points and More

NTT Communications (NTT Com) announced today the launch of OCN Okaidoku Navi, or OCN "value shopping" navi, a Japanese-only shopping website (kaidoku.ocn.ne.jp) in Japan that offers target price and sales notifications, as well as free shopping information, price comparisons, user reviews and more.

OCN Okaidoku Navi enables shoppers to register a target price for a specific product and then receive an email to their mobile phone if the service locates a store offering that price. Users also can choose to be automatically notified of sales at their favorite stores.

Users who register for OCN Okaidoku Navi’s free membership program can receive loyalty points when they make purchases or register as members of participating shopping sites. Points also can be earned by taking part in surveys or viewing linked ads. The points can be converted automatically into "Point Talk" points and applied against billings from NTT Com or OCN, redeemed for Chocom e-money or exchanged for loyalty points from other participating companies.

Going forward, NTT Com intends to expand the mobile convenience of OCN Okaidoku Navi with product reviews, user comments, video content and more.
