Group-wide Corporate Ethics Help Line

Measures to Establish Corporate Ethics

Nippon Telegraph and Telephone Corporation (“NTT”), the ultimate parent company of NTT Communications Group (“NTT Com Group”) companies, has adopted NTT Group Corporate Ethics Policy. Based on NTT Group Corporate Ethics Policy, each NTT Communications Group company has proactively engaged in various measures to establish corporate ethics, including:

  • Establishment of a compliance committee;
  • Appointment of an executive officer in charge of promoting corporate ethics;
  • Establishment of a corporate ethics help line; and
  • Implementation of corporate ethics training programs for all employees.

Establishment of Corporate Ethics Help Line

NTT has established a Group-wide Corporate Ethics Help Line. Recognizing the Whistleblower Protection Act in Japan, this Help Line is open to any person including but not limited to those who are employed by NTT Com Group companies or working for business partners of any NTT Com Group companies, and accepts any reports regarding potentially illegal, unethical or improper conduct by any officers, employees or temporary staff of NTT Com Group companies. NTT Communications Compliance Committee will promptly address matters reported to this Help Line through the Corporate Ethics Committee of NTT. In order to ensure and protect the anonymity of reports, this Help Line is hosted in an external law firm. However, this Help Line does not provide any legal advice or consultations.
