NTT Com to Expand Global e-VLAN Service to Australia

NTT Communications (NTT Com) announced today that it has begun accepting subscriptions in Australia for Global e-VLAN, a broadband connectivity service for secure close networks via wide-area Ethernet technology. With the launch, the service will be available in 12 countries and regions worldwide.

NTT Com will be the first Japanese company to offer a layer 2 e-VLAN service in Australia.

NTT Com customers will have the added benefit of being able to choose between either Global e-VLAN or Arcstar™ Global IP-VPN, NTT Com’s existing MPLS-based layer 3 service for private networks operating over shared network infrastructure.

A strong demand for high-quality global broadband networks exists in Australia. Of the more than 280 Japanese multinational companies operating here, many U.S. and European firms use the country as their base for Asia-Pacific operations.

While leveraging its stable and highly reliable network to support the ICT needs of customers in Australia, NTT Com will continue to pursue opportunities to enhance the quality and availability of its services.
