NTT Com Expands Global e-VLAN in Malaysia

NTT Communications (NTT Com) announced today the expansion of its Global e-VLAN in Malaysia and has begun accepting subscriptions. This wide Ethernet service is now offered in 12 countries and regions worldwide.

Demand for global wide Ethernet service in Southeast Asia is growing as many multinational companies, especially manufacturers, are in the region, particularly in Kuala Lumpur, the pivotal city for business in Malaysia. NTT Com, which has been offering its Layer 3 service, Arcstar™ Global IP-VPN based on Multi-protocol Label Switching in Malaysia, is now the first Japanese company offering Layer 2 Global e-VLAN service in the country in response to demand. Customer convenience is also improved since the service can be chosen on demand.

The market for global Ethernet service in Malaysia is expected to show a growth rate of 105.7% in 2011 over the previous year, and a rate of 66.7% in 2012*.

NTT Com will continue to support customers’ ICT in Malaysia with a highly reliable and stable network, while also enhancing its services including area expansion.
